IR (infrared) sensors measure radiation from surfaces to determine temperature. A wide variety of sensors and cameras are available to measure object temperatures or determine temperature profiles. Our sensors are used in a variety of industrial processes from steel and glass manufacturers to injection-molded plastic plants.

ams AG
High-performance sensors and sensor interface solutions from ams provide for more precise and accurate diagnostic information while exposing the patient to a lower dose of radiation.

Apogee Instruments, Inc.
Apogee silicon-cell pyranometers feature a monocrystalline silicon-cell detector that has the same spectral response as a PV module. The sensors quantify shortwave radiation being harnessed as electricity.
-
Campbell Scientific, Inc.
Campbell Scientific offers two types of surface temperature sensors: infrared temperature (non-contact) and surface contact. Infrared temperature sensors measure the surface temperature of an object or surface by sensing the infrared radiation given off by the subject. Surface contact sensors attach directly to a surface and measure the temperature via physical contact.

SICK Sensor Intelligence
Color sensors detect the color of a surface. The sensors cast light (red, green, and blue LEDs) on the objects to be tested, calculate the chromaticity coordinates from the reflected radiation and compare them with previously stored reference colors. If the color values are within the set tolerance range, a switching output is activated.

Bristol Industrial & Research Associates Ltd
Compact weather stations combine a number of standard meteorological sensors including precipitation and radiation into a single, easy to use, package. These compact stations are often used in building control applications or for basic weather monitoring.
-
Sea-Bird Scientific
Transmissometers provide information about the optical properties of natural water by measuring the transmittance or attenuation of incident radiation. Sea-Bird Scientific offers transmissometers and an attenuation sensors for a variety of applications, including AUVs, deep ocean, and profiling floats.

Infrared Thermometer is also known as laser thermometerInfrared thermometer is a thermometer which infers temperature from a portion of the thermal radiation sometimes called blackbody radiation emitted by the object being measured.Laser is used to help aim the thermometer or non-contact thermometers or temperature guns, to describe the device's ability to measure temperature from a distance. By knowing the amount of infrared energy emitted by the object and its emissivity, the object's temperature can often be determined. Infrared thermometers are a subset of devices known as "thermal radiation thermometers".The design essentially consists of a lens to focus the infrared thermal radiation on to a detector, which converts the radiant power to an electrical signal that can be displayed in units of temperature after being compensated for ambient temperature. This permits temperature measurement from a distance without contact with the object to be measured. A non-contact infrared thermometer is useful for measuring temperature under circumstances where thermocouples or other probe-type sensors cannot be used or do not produce accurate data for a variety of reasons.

FOTEMP1-OEM-MNT -
Micronor AG
The FOTEMP1-OEM-MNT is a small form factor PCB interface module designed for low cost insertion of high precision GaAs-based fiber optic temperature sensor technology into OEM applications where common electrical temperature sensors and thermocouples cannot be used. The OEM interface product is compatible with all TS series fiber optic temperature probes. The sensors are entirely non-metallic and electrically passive, providing immunity to EMI, RFI, MR, microwaves and radiation is required.

USHIO DEUTSCHLAND GmbH
USHIO developed a UV meter series to measure intensities of UV radiation. As an add-on, the temperature is also registered. You can decide between the high-end UV meter UIT-250, and UIT-201. The former has a wider measurement range, allows the measurement of energy doses and has the capability to transfer the data via a serial communication protocol to a PC. Various sensors are available. The most popular sensors have center wavelengths at 254 nm, 365 nm or 410 nm.

CNR 4 -
Kipp & Zonen B.V.
The CNR 4 net radiometer consists of a pyranometer pair, one facing upward, the other facing downward, and a pyrgeometer pair in a similar con?guration. The pyranometer pair measures the short-wave radiation. And the pyrgeometer pair measures long-wave radiation. The upper long-wave detector of CNR 4 has a meniscus dome. This ensures that water droplets role off easily and improves the field of view to nearly 180, compared with a 150 for a flat window. All 4 sensors are integrated directly into the instrument body, instead of separate modules mounted onto the housing. But are each calibrated individually for optimal accuracy.
